In recent years, our students have secured prestigious scholarships, including the Rhodes Scholarship and the Schwarzman Scholarship, enabling them to pursue further studies at the world’s leading universities. In academic competitions, our teams have consistently performed at the highest level. Our Model UN team has won numerous awards at global conferences, demonstrating exceptional skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and public speaking. Our Applied Sciences & Engineering students have been finalists in international design and innovation competitions, with their projects recognised for their originality and potential for real-world application. For example, a student team developed an award-winning sustainable urban lighting system that is currently being piloted in a European city. Our Economics students have won national case study competitions, showcasing their analytical prowess and problem-solving skills. These achievements are a direct result of our commitment to providing students with practical, hands-on learning experiences and a supportive environment that encourages them to push their boundaries.

Faculty & Staff Achievements

Our faculty and staff are at the forefront of their respective fields, and their achievements reflect their dedication to scholarship and teaching. A number of our professors have been awarded prestigious grants and fellowships from organisations like the European Research Council, enabling them to conduct groundbreaking research. Our faculty’s research has been published in highly-ranked academic journals, and several of our professors have authored influential books that have shaped their disciplines. For instance, Professor Julian Thorne of the International Politics department recently published a seminal work on post-conflict reconciliation, which is now a standard text in universities worldwide. Our staff members have also received recognition for their contributions to education and community building, ensuring that the academy’s operational and student support systems are of the highest standard.
